The Plan
In 2012, Art House Dallas will begin renovation of almost 8,000 sq. feet in order to create an environment where participants receive support and resources to live the creative life. The space’s vibe will be eclectic-artsy clutter, comfort, and order all mixed together with color, shadow, and light.
Within the new Art House Dallas space, we plan to include:
• An inspiring collection of Project studios providing musicians with creative spaces filled with the best of old and new instruments and recording technology in order to write and record their music.
• Studio space connected to a sanctuary space for live recordings.
• Collaboration rooms for songwriting, screenwriting, visual arts studio space.
• Classroom space for community youth programs (School of Rock / Arts & Crafts summer classes)
• Warm and inviting sitting areas with rugs, couches, overstuffed chairs, and coffee tables with a collection of books to spark meaningful conversations.
• Great room equipped with flexible teaching spaces for 10-99 people to gather and listen to live music, lectures, join roundtable discussions, or meet as small groups.
• Catering kitchen for small dinner parties or large events held in Great Room or conference space.
• Office space for Art House Dallas staff and space available for lease to other creative entrepreneurs looking for a collaborative work environment
Concert Venue
Through a community partnership with Munger Place, Art House Dallas will have use of their recently renovated, beautiful and classic sanctuary in order to create the kinds of quality culture-making concerts and events for which Art House America is known.
